(Sherwood Park, AB, Canada) The Center for Islam and Science (CIS) announced today that it is launching a bi-annual journal, Islam & Science. Edited by Muzaffar Iqbal, the journal will explore, from an Islamic perspective, philosophical and religious implications of data that originate in the physical, biological and social sciences. The journal will also publish articles that enhance our understanding of the Islamic intellectual tradition with special emphasis on the Islamic scientific tradition.
