are viewed as institutions independent of the concerns of the rest of
society, where free inquiry, for the sake of knowledge itself, is
encouraged. However, an examination of the developments that took place
in the North American university system over the last century or so,
will reveal a situation significantly different from the one that has
been presumed to exist.

University has become a
human experiment. A generation of children is brought up with the idea
that life is about having a good time and that they should be free to
live it any way that they want to. After they all go through puberty and
begin obsessing about the opposite sex, the most intelligent of them are
taken away from their families and all of their friends and placed in a
totally new and unfamiliar environment with some money and a lot of
spare time.
The
Importance of Education in Islam
Centuries old monarchy, colonialism and the
oppressive rule of their own people have brought about moral and
spiritual degeneration of Muslims throughout the world. To retrieve them
from this degeneration, it’s about time that the Muslim Ummah
restructures its educational priorities along Islamic lines, fulfilling
the existing needs as well.

The minority children, especially the
Muslims are exposed to the pressure of racism, multiculturalism and
bullying. They suffer academically, culturally and linguistically.

Khaled says he drives home his message in a
practical way. He cancels his sermons during exam time and, unlike many
preachers, keeps his sermons short if his sermon happens to coincide
with a football match.
Piety for the Young and Affluent

values among people. Now his absence is likely to leave a dangerously
large vacuum which could be filled by religious misconceptions or
corruption and drugs. It is the young people who are at stake here."

One of the fundamental aim of Muslim schools
is to help the children to develop Islamic Identity which is crucial for
mental, emotional and personality development. Without a positive
co-relation between school and home the education of children will
suffer and hinder their academic progress.
